Because of the nature of its individualized programs, Bromley Brook private girls school is a small community with a potential for enrollment of over 100 students. The school operates a year-round program based on three four-month semesters, with breaks of one week in April, August and December.

Thirty-two girls can live in each of the four dormitory houses. Every student shares a bedroom and a bathroom with up to three other girls, as well as common areas with the other girls in her residence. An adult coaching faculty and night staff maintain and monitor behavior in each residence. There are basic dorm agreements that help to ensure all students live in an environment that is emotionally and physically safe. Girls can formally present any concerns and suggestions within an agenda at weekly meetings.

Bromley Brook private girls school is specifically designed for girls. The days are structured and weekdays include physical exercise, academic classes throughout the day, evening study time or activities. Weekends include intensive art seminars, guest speakers, outdoor recreation like skiing, hiking, or sports, community service projects, and personal quiet time. In addition to the above recreational activities may include trips to local museums, galleries, movies, theater, shopping, local events, formal dinner nights at the school, and Sunday pajama party brunch!

Each girl enjoys daily directed athletics, as well as outdoor recreation, yoga, health, sexuality and nutrition education. A Bromley Brook all girls high school, student attends individual, group, and family counseling as well as personal seminars to develop increased emotional intelligence. She can explore her own spirituality through the arts of drawing, painting, pottery, photography, chorus, music instruction, writing, sharing of family traditions and ceremony, meditation, visualization and relaxation exercises and through maintaining a guided journal.

The Bromley Brook private girls school community provides openness, acceptance and personal privacy accomplished through:

  • Dorm Life Coaches to provide individual planning, guidance and individual discussion time.

  • Celebration of personal achievements and milestones including birthdays, holidays, seminar completion, academic achievement, learning phase completion, graduation and alumnae success.

Each girl can feel safe to explore and gain increased self-knowledge or understanding of her own personal values, goals, and coping mechanisms within the Bromley Brook School 's nurturing, encouraging and open environment. We use the environment and regained self-knowledge to realign personal values and skills, giving voice and action to unique gifts and talents. This process is paramount to gaining confidence and competence during adolescent years and a precursor to healthy adult development.
